Dr Jit Biswas is a Senior Lecturer in the ISTD Pilllar at SUTD. Previously he was in various positions and departments at the A*Star Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Singapore, where he worked on Healthcare applications using Ambient Intelligence and Sensor Networking technologies. His work focused on services and applications for eldercare, and involved collaboration with hospitals and nursing homes for the purpose of deploying and testing new ways of monitoring and taking care of the elderly. Dr Biswas has an undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, INDIA, and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin, USA.
