Nils Ole Tippenhauer

This seminar focuses on a discussion of software to support scientific research. In particular, we will discuss collaborative editing using version control systems, editors for LaTeX papers and presentations, markup languages, mathematical modeling and simulation, and software for graphics. I will present my subjective favorites, and we can discuss alternatives available.
About The Speaker
Nils Tippenhauer is an Assistant Professor at the Information Systems Technology and Design Pillar, SUTD. He is also a adjunct research scientist with the Advanced Digital Sciences Center in Singapore. Nils earned his Dr. Sc. in Computer Science from ETH Zurich (Switzerland) in 2012. Before coming to ETH, Nils received a degree in Computer Engineering (Dipl. Ing.) from the Hamburg University of Technology (Germany) in 2007.
