We are pleased to present to you our annual ISTD Design Exhibition Students Project Showcase (Virtual) in May 2022. Sophomore CSD students showcased their Design Projects from the following two courses.
- 50.001 Information Systems & Programming and
- 50.002 Computation Structures
In 50.001 Information Systems & Programming, CSD students were tasked to apply their Java knowledge to design and build a solution on the theme of “Smart Nation”. Every project has to incorporate an Android app, together with other technologies to form an information system. This year, there are 33 projects, with prototypes that demonstrate how Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), chatbots, cloud computing and connectivity can improve our lives and solve problems that we face every day.
In 50.002 Computation Structures, CSD students designed various electronic game projects from scratch using FPGAs and bare-bone Input/Output devices. The objective was to design simple math/logic electronic games using the knowledge acquired in the course of study. They are required to plan a custom datapath and created a simple CPUH for their specific game to further enhance their understanding in how general purpose computers work.
We proudly present their posters and projects here.
