Abstract

The sharing will delve in email threats with the local landscape, illustrating the various challenges and vulnerabilities faced. The sharing will also focus on email authentication techniques such as SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and their roles in safeguarding against email threats as well as their adoption statistics locally and globally. Will also be introducing the Internet Hygiene Portal during the sharing, an initiative aimed to enhance the cyber hygiene of digital platforms such as websites and emails.

Steven Tan is an Assistant Director at Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA). He currently leads the Safer Internet, Mobile and Internet of Things (IoT) security team under the Cybersecurity Engineering Center (CSEC). His work focuses on assessing cyber risks in the Internet, Mobile and IoT domains, and developing initiatives to secure Singapore’s Digital landscape.

An advocate for cybersecurity standards and best practices, his leadership has been instrumental in the successful implementation of key projects such as the Internet Hygiene Portal and the Safe App Standard, aimed at enhancing Singapore’s cybersecurity framework and raising awareness about cyber hygiene among the public and organisations alike.
