Abstract

Deploying applications and services used to have to be done with on-premise networks and servers. In recent years, the world has moved towards hosting their applications and services on the cloud. This has introduced new challenges (or at least newfound concerns) over security and isolation between Virtual Machines and Containers in multi-tenant environments. This talk will help the students to gain an understanding into cloud environments and serve as an introduction into Cloud security, with some exploration into the relevant roles in in GRC, incident response, Security Engineering, security analyst roles, and Penetration Testing.

Chun Yong leads the Security Testing And Red (STAR) Team at Ensign InfoSecurity. He runs a team of penetration testers and white hat hackers to identify vulnerabilities in all kinds of digital systems. Chun Yong is also an SUTD alumnus from the pioneer batch of students who graduated in 2015. He is also an official Offsec trainer and has done work in the identification of vulnerabilities in several technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Active Directory, Cyber Physical Systems, Car Hacking, and IoT Hacking.
