Abstract
In this sharing, I will be giving a short introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, followed by an overview of their diverse applications in Defence and National Security. Through the highlights of several declassified use cases, I aim to illuminate the development processes, delve into the technical implementations, and foster discussions among attendees. Additionally, I will be covering some of the technologies and its core concepts that we have developed over the years, some of which are currently operationally fielded in the field. I will also share insights into the current exciting research topics that our programme is pursuing. Finally, I will conclude with some of the key challenges faced in this domain and identify the emerging trends on where we see great potential for opportunities and growth.
This talk will provide an insightful glimpse into the world of defence R&D, shedding light into an often secretive industry and hopefully inspire aspiring graduates to consider a career in the Defence Technology Community.
This seminar is open for SUTD community and 42 Singapore students only.
