Job Description

  • Provide administrative support to undergraduate matters. Process administrative paperwork.
  • Assist in various programme activities and events.
  • Liaise with course instructors and relevant departments on programme related matters.
  • Create and maintain student records for minor programme applications.
  • Create and maintain student records for inbound and outbound programme applications.
  • Create and maintain records for course selections.
  • Assist in Student Helpers’ related matters.
  • Any other adhoc assignments, e.g. administrative duties in the lab technologist area.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • A Diploma/Degree in any discipline.
  • Preferably with 1-2 years relevant working experience.
  • Able to work independently and as a team player.
  • Able to work with people at different levels and with different cultures.
  • Good communication skills.

Associate, Laboratory & IT Infrastructure, ISTD

Job Description

The Associate, Laboratory & IT Infrastructure, ISTD  is a hands-on position. Successful candidate will be able to integrate well into the culture at the SUTD, which is by nature multidisciplinary and design-oriented.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate, troubleshoot and maintain systems, equipment and devices so that ISTD lab and classes operations run smoothly and efficiently;
  • Responsible for lab booking and technical support for projects, tests and exams;
  • Deliver training and collaborate with faculty for curriculum support and development;
  • Ensure that safety guidelines are adhered to;
  • Ensure that material supplies and robots are appropriately stocked;
  • Assist with acquisition and installation of software, hardware and materials;
  • Stock take, review and provide regular reports for all lab and computer assets, supplies and materials; and
  • Participate in outreach programme by preparing teaching materials and devices, then conduct hands-on workshops to pre-tertiary students.


  • Diploma in computer engineering, information technology or equivalent;
  • Proficiency in at least two to three of the following domains shall be required:
    Internet-Of-Things, Server Administration, Deskside support, Network Configuration, Cyber Security and Software Programming
  • Preferably with at least 2 years of experience in supporting and design laboratories in an institute of higher learning;
  • Competency in the installation and troubleshooting of teaching robots (e.g. Finch, eBOTs), Internet of Things, as well as software used in teaching (e.g. Unreal Engine, Unity, Matlab and other in-house software);
  • Possess sound analytical and problem solving skills, ability to establish work priorities and carry out duties with minimal supervision.
  • Candidates with good communication skills and passion to share knowledge shall be considered favourably
  • Successful candidate shall be offered an initial 1-year employment contract, with the likelihood of converting to a full-time employee at the end of the contractual period.
